TAV Macedonia received plaque for best corporate social practices for 2018

TAV Macedonia is awarded with a plaque by the Ministry of Economy of Republic of Macedonia and the Coordinative body for corporate social responsibility of enterprises, for successfully conducted corporate social responsible practices in 2018, in the category - “relations with the market“, for the project „Incentives for airlines and tour-operators“, realized in the time period June 2017 – June 2018.
TAV Macedonia is the only big enterprise awarded for best corporate social responsible practices in 2018 in the category “relations with the market“.
The project “Incentives for airlines and tour-operators“, that won the recognition by the Ministry of economy, is with a main goal - increase of the air traffic, in order the Macedonian market to become more visible for airlines, the competition to be increased, and Skopje and Ohrid airports to become regional aviation hubs.
Along with the incentive schemes, that are globally promoting the Macedonian airports to airlines and tour-operators, initiated by TAV Airports holding, TAV Macedonia is hardly working on improvement of airports services quality as well, in order to achieve one of its main goals – high level of customer’s satisfaction.
- By designing and implementing the incentive schemes for airlines and tour-operators, TAV Macedonia as an airport operator has been building the relations with airlines and tour-operators, as our partners, since 2010. This activity, as an ongoing project within our marketing strategy, has a visible direct effect on the market development, resulting with continuous passenger’s traffic increase at both Skopje International and Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airports. We are highly devoted on the network development of the Macedonian aviation market, in order to achieve a sustainable airport operations business, as well as on improvement of airport quality services at both airports. To listen and understand the needs, requests, complaints and suggestions of the customers is essential for improvement of service quality. Therefore, we are taking place in airport service quality program applied by Airports Council International (ACI) worldwide. The program enables us to understand how passengers rank us and creates globally renowned benchmark of our service quality among other airports, stated Alper Ersoy, TAV Macedonia General Manager.
TAV Macedonia project “Incentives for airlines and tour-operators“ got a recognition for successfully conducted corporate social responsible practices in 2018, in the category – “relations with the market“, among 5 other Macedonian companies that applied in the same category. On this year Ministry of Economy call for National award for best corporate social practices, applied a total of 38 projects, from 25 companies.
The National award, organized by the National Coordinative Body for Corporate Social Responsibility of Enterprises and the Ministry of Economy of Republic of Macedonia, is awarded for 11 years in a row, and in the past period 180 Macedonian companies submitted 580 socially responsible practices, showing their commitment to improve their influence on society and the environment. So far, a total of 276 good practices have been awarded in five different areas of social responsibility, of which 110 with statuettes, 162 with plaques and 4 with special awards for the most inventive practice.
The aim of the Award is to promote positive practices of socially responsible action and to inspire the introduction and further improvement of the social responsibility of enterprises in the Republic of Macedonia.
TAV Macedonia as an airport operator of both Macedonian airports, continues to record double digit increase in passenger’s number.
From January until October 2018, more than 2 million passengers traveled through both Macedonian airports – Skopje International Airport and Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport, which is 17% growth annually. At the same time, the total number of flights is 17.017, which is 11% growth compared to the same period last year.
