TAV Macedonia: From 2026 Wizz Air opens three new destinations from Skopje and Ohrid airports to Naples, Wroclaw and Milan, and returns Budapest and Katowice

As a result of the fruitful cooperation of TAV Macedonia, Wizz Air and the Government, from the next summer flight season starting at the end of March 2026, Skopje International Airport will connect with Naples (Italy) for the first time and reintroduce the destination Budapest (Hungary). Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport on the other hand, receives direct flights to Milan Malpensa (Italy) and Wroclaw (Poland), and returns the route to Katowice (Poland).
The successful partnership between TAV Macedonia and Wizz Air brings another result. The airline has increased its fleet by another aircraft at its base at Skopje International Airport and so far, a total of 13 new routes from both airports have been announced this year.
With direct connections to some of the most attractive European cities, TAV Macedonia is enriching the choice of passengers and bringing the country closer to European destinations.

The new flights, together with the re-introduced destinations from Skopje and Ohrid, will be another opportunity to get to know new cultures, see new historical landmarks, and experience new traditions.
"With the growing route network, both Macedonian airports are strengthening their role as key gateways to Europe and beyond. These new airlines are the result of our strategic cooperation with the Government and the airline Wizz Air, to increase the travel and mobility opportunities of citizens. I am sure that new destinations such as Naples from Skopje International Airport, Milan and Wroclaw from Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport, as well as the return of Budapest from Skopje Airport and Katowice from Ohrid, will be attractive to citizens and will contribute to the competitiveness of both airports in the region," said Nejat Kurt, TAV Macedonia General Manager.
The new airlines from Skopje International Airport will connect all travel enthusiasts with Naples - the city of art and gastronomy, the birthplace of pizza and the gateway to the spectacular Amalfi Coast, and with Budapest - the "Pearl of the Danube" with magnificent bridges, thermal baths and architecture that tells the story of European history.

Flights from Skopje to Naples and Budapest from Skopje Airport will start on March 30, 2026, and will be operated every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
From Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport, passengers will have the opportunity to connect directly with the Polish cities of Katowice and Wroclaw, modern industrial and cultural centers, known for their vibrant music festivals, Gothic architecture and urban energy, as well as Milan, the world capital of fashion and design.
Flights from Ohrid Airport to all 3 destinations will operate twice a week, with Milan Malpensa also starting on March 30, 2026, while Wroclaw will start on June 7 and Katowice on June 8 next year.
