Starting from 15th of October, the passengers at Skopje International Airport are able to use free Wi-Fi Internet, as a mutual project between the company - airport operator and Makedonski Telekom
TAV Macedonia in cooperation with Makedonski Telekom introduced free Internet on Skopje International Airport as of 15th of October.
The free of charge Wi-Fi Internet is available in the terminal building of the airport, as well as in the VIP lounge, and passengers can use it simply by connecting to the Wi-Fi network under the name “Telekom HotSpot”’.
After connecting to this network passenger’s devices are automatically connected to the web page on which by clicking on the icon ,,Connect’’ they are be able to use the free of charge Internet, without any password entry.
Such connection lasts for 30 minutes, and after each session on the Internet, new connection of the user to the wireless network is requested.
-We are really happy that we can add another new service for the passengers in our portfolio of non-aviation services and thereby to follow the global trend of enabling free Wi-Fi. Until now we have also offered passengers free of charge Internet, but with limited time interval and only on certain locations. Now we are providing it in the whole terminal building and unlimited. With the new quality and fast Internet that we are offering now in cooperation with Macedonian Telekom, we believe that we will fulfill passengers’ needs, so they can be always updated with the information on the Internet, both of business aspect, and in terms of fun and relaxation while they stay in the terminal building, Zoran Krstevski, TAV Macedonia’s General Manager, said.
The fast Internet provided at ,,Alexander the Great’’ by Makedonski Telekom is supplemented by customer protection. It means that filtering is enabled for any inappropriate content, such as protection against viruses and spam.
TAV Macedonia officials stressed that they always aim to provide the best high quality services to the passengers in each segment of the business, including both aviation and non-aviation services.
The airport operator in the first 9 months of this year managed to accomplish 20% growth on the total number of passengers on both airports – in Skopje and in Ohrid, achieving total figure of 1.183.728 passengers within the period January-September.
