TAV Airports: Wizz Air starts with sales of flight tickets to Barcelona, Lion and Stuttgart from Skopje Airport
Following today’s meeting between TAV Macedonia General Manager, Nejat Kurt, and Wizz Air Managing Director, Roland Tischner, the tickets for three new routes from Skopje International Airport to Barcelona, Lyon, and Stuttgart are officially available for purchase on Wizz Air’s website.
Today, December 17th, TAV Macedonia General Manager, Nejat Kurt and Roland Tischner, Wizz Air Managing Director held a meeting at Skopje International Airport, after which they officially announced the tickets, sale start for the three new routes that will be available from Skopje International Airport to Barcelona, Lyon, and Stuttgart as of the next summer season.
Skopje Airport passengers, as of 2025 can easily access and explore Barcelona, a bustling city known for its unique architecture, rich history, and vibrant culture; Lyon, renowned for its culinary excellence and historical significance, and a must-visit destination for food lovers and culture enthusiasts alike; and Stuttgart, famous for its automotive industry and beautiful parks, it offers a blend of modernity and tradition; while guests from these European cities can explore the nature, history and cuisine of Skopje and North Macedonia.

The new routes from Barcelona and Lyon will be operational starting May 2025, offering travelers exciting opportunities to explore vibrant European cities at affordable rates in the upcoming summer. For Stuttgart, the direct flights start from September 2025.

Bookings for the three new destinations available from Skopje International Airport are open today, flights will start on 3rd May 2025 (Barcelona) and will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays, on 1st May 2025 (Lyon), with flights scheduled for Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, while flights to Stuttgart will start on 29th September 2025, operating three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Flights to the new destinations from Skopje International Airport are bookable on the official Wizz Air website and through the company's mobile app. Base fares start from just for €24.99 for Stuttgart, and €29.99 for Lyon. The new route from Skopje to Barcelona is available from €31.99.
