TAV Macedonia, in cooperation with the Red Cross and the Institute for Transfusion Medicine, today carried out a blood donation activity where Skopje International Airport employees, volunteered in donating blood, at the airport premises.
The goal of the blood donation campaign is to raise awareness about the importance of donating blood, to encourage humanity and solidarity, and to personally contribute for saving lives.

“TAV Macedonia believes that success is not measured only by statistics and numbers, but also by the impact we create on the community. Donating blood is a simple yet priceless act — one donated unit can mean a new chance at life for someone. This campaign sends a clear message that humanity is part of our business philosophy. I would like to thank to employees of Skopje International Airport who volunteered in today’s blood donation activity”, said Nejat Kurt, TAV Macedonia General Manager.
“Each blood donation is of great importance for the people who need it the most, as well as for replenishing the reserves of blood and blood products. TAV Macedonia’s employees’ participation in the campaign is of special significance, as the company demonstrates strong social responsibility and contributes to the highest act of expressing humanity”, stated Zdravko Georgievski, Red Cross Gazi Baba Secretary.
As part of its corporate social responsibility strategy, TAV Macedonia - a subsidiary of TAV Airports and a member of the ADP Group - aims to continue this initiative as a regular humanitarian practice within the company, strengthening the volunteering spirit among staff.
