COVID-19 ANNOUNCEMENT TO PASSENGERS: ZAN MITREV LABORATORY STARTS WITH RAPID ANTIGEN TESTING AT SKOPJE AIRPORT, AS OF TOMORROW, 24th JANUARY
Skopje, 23rd January
In order to answer to the latest COVID-19 travel restrictions of EU/Schengen member states (COVID-19 ANNOUNCEMENT: NEW RESTRICTIONS FOR PASSENGERS TRAVELLING TO NETHERLANDS, GERMANY AND FRANCE/SWITZERLAND ), TAV Macedonia found a solution to the requirement for rapid antigen test performed shortly before passenger’s departure.
Therefore, as of tomorrow, 24th January, “Zan Mitrev” Laboratory will deploy their mobile ambulance testing vehicle in front of Skopje International Airport terminal building, near the only opened entrance “Departures C”, where passengers can perform the required rapid antigen test and get the results in 15 to 20 minutes from sampling.
The mobile ambulance testing vehicle of “Zan Mitrev” Laboratory of Genetics and Personalized Medicine Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology Research Center, will be present at Skopje International Airport as of tomorrow, Sunday (24th January 2021), from 9 o’clock until 15 o’clock, following the regular daily flight schedule Departure flights.
The aim is to provide an option to our passengers who depart to destinations in Germany tomorrow, so they have enough time to perform the rapid antigen test prior they enter the terminal building and start with the airport procedures, if they already hadn’t done the test before their arrival at the airport.
“Zan Mitrev” Laboratory mobile ambulance vehicle for rapid antigen testing will continue to be present at Skopje Airport in the following days as well, following the timings of flights to the destinations/countries that introduced the new travel restrictions.
For more details regarding the test itself, please contact “Zan Mitrev” laboratory on the phone number +389 2 3091484 (8h-19h from Monday to Friday; 8h-15h during the weekends) and through the other contacts available on their web page: ZAN MITREV CLINIC - MICROBIOLOGICAL LABORATORY, while for more information regarding the tests that are accepted by EU/Schengen countries, please contact the Embassy of your country of arrival.
If you decide to perform the rapid antigen test at Skopje International Airport, in order to avoid creating crowds in front of the terminal building, please arrive at the airport on time, minimum 3 hours before your estimated departure time.
