TAV Macedonia as an airport operator of Skopje International Airport and Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport, and as a company that takes care to provide quality travel experience for its customers, is continuously dedicated to meet the needs of people with disabilities and reduced or restricted mobility.
Accessibility is considered as an important point of our daily operations to provide equal opportunities to all customers.
Therefore, passengers’ areas within the airport infrastructure, facilities, and services have been built and modified to be used by people of all abilities.
According to REGULATION (EC) No 1107/2006 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 5 July 2006 concerning the rights of disabled persons and persons with reduced mobility when travelling by air the Airport is responsible to provide assistance to Passenger with Reduced Mobility (PRMs).
A person with reduced mobility (PRM) is any person whose mobility is reduced due to a physical incapacity (sensory or locomotor), an intellectual deficiency, age, illness, or any other cause of disability when using transport and whose situation needs special attention and the adaptation to the person’s needs of services made available to all passengers.
To respond to the needs of PRMs and to provide the necessary assistance and support, TAV Macedonia has trained and qualified staff ready to welcome and to provide services for the disabled and persons with reduced mobility at Skopje International Airport and at Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport.
Passengers who need assistance should contact and notify their airline, travel agent or tour operator with details of their assistance requirements at least 48 hours before the departure of their flight.
It is very important that passengers requiring mobility assistance ensure that they contact their airline, travel agent or tour operator directly as their onward travel may be affected by the safety rules that air carrier applies to the carriage of persons with reduced mobility.
Moreover, persons with disabilities and PRMs can, with ease, announce their arrival at the airport and request assistance at any of the three help points:

- Check-in counters
PARKING LOTS FOR DISABLED PERSONS AT SKOPJE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
At Skopje International Airport there are 20 parking lots for disabled persons, for which the use of the parking is free of charge within 24 hours.
For approval of the free of charge parking use, the passenger is required to go to the parking office and to present the traffic license of the vehicle and the disability identification card (to identify as a person with disability). This applies only if the person with disability is the owner and drives the vehicle.
The distance from the designated parking lots for disabled persons to the entry doors of the airport building is 48 meters.
